I know, my surgery was very similar in the cost to yours. HOWEVER, I don't understand all the inner workings of the world of insurance, but I can tell you that NO ONE PAID THAT AMOUNT!!! It was discounted/discounted/discounted and of course the insurance didn't pay that BILL. It was much less. Such a crazy and confusing health care system we have. Ugh!
